Your home in the savannahs

Olgatuni, the Maasai word for Lion, resonates with the grandeur and grace that the Savannahs bring with themselves. The Olgatuni Camp is located at the heart of Masai Mara, with two Lion pride territories at a stone’s throw distance, and a (well almost) resident Leopard called Bahati. Two famous Cheetah family territories and the Mara River have located 15 minutes away, while Olare Orok River, Talek River and Olkiambo airstrip are 5 minutes away.

Olgatuni boasts one of the most authentic experiential stay in Masai Mara, as the camp is run fully by the local Masais, giving you an insider’s experience of “living with the Masais” while offering the best of comforts and amenities as per world class hospitality standards. Our 14 tented camps give you the best of comforts in the raw wilderness of the Mara.

Staying at Olgatuni

The tents at Olgatuni are an epitome of rusticity, drenched in the aroma of an authentic Mara experience. Living within the wilderness of the savannahs is an unforgettable experience, and Olgatuni ensures that you get as close to nature as it can get!
The tents are facilitated with plush beds in different sizes, fresh towels and slippers, shower cubicles with earthen designs and fittings, and availability of hot water as requested. Each tent has a zip enclosure which operates from inside as well as outside the tent.

Activities

The Masai Mara is arguably the most famous wildlife park on this planet, and you have missed something in life if you have not experienced the Mara. The ways of experiencing this magical land are many, predominant one being game drives with our expert Masai naturalists, some choose to savour the savannahs from the skies with a balloon ride. Then back at the camp hear folklores of this land from the resident Masai staff, over barbeque and bonfire in the evenings. If you cannot have enough of the Masais, do visit their village for even more intimate experience of their lives.
